Nhằm tìm hiểu đặc điểm lâm sàng của lao phổi AFB đờm (-), chúng tôi tiến hành nghiên cứu
trên 30 bệnh nhân (BN) lao phổi soi AFB đờm (-), cấy BK (+) và 10 BN viêm phổi không do
lao làm nhóm chứng. Các kết quả thu được cho thấy: lao phổi AFB đờm (-) thường xuất hiện
ở người già, khởi phát lặng lẽ, thường ho khan, phản ứng Mantoux (-). Tổn thương X quang
ít phá huỷ hơn so với lao phổi AFB đờm (+).

Summary
To find out characterristics of clinical manifestation in smear negative pulmonary tuberculosis
(TB), the authors performed a prospective study on 30 patients with smear negative pulmonary
TB, but BK culture positive. 30 patients with smear positive pulmonary TB and 10 patients with
pulmonary infection non- tuberculosis as the control groups. The results showed that: smear
negative pulmonary tuberculosis occurs more frequently in eldly persons, and was quiet onset,
usually dry cough. Tuberculine intracutaneous reaction negative was more common whereas
necrotic immage on chest X ray film was less than in pulmonary TB smear positive.
